Novell Storage Manager 2.0-SR3 for Active Directory Platform README.TXT

This is a maintenance release of the Novell Storage Manager 2.0 for the
Active Directory platform. This installation package may be used for both new
installations as well as upgrades from previous versions of Novell Storage
Manager 2.x for Active Directory platform.
New Installation:
1. Run NSM2.0-AD-SR3.exe and follow the instructions as presented.

Upgrade Procedure:
1. Extract the .zip archive file to a temporary location.
2. (Optional) Stop the "Novell Storage Manager" and "Novell Storage Manager
Sentinel" services. If these are not shut down, the installer will
attempt to stop them prior to copying the new files.
4. Run NSM2.0-AD-SR3.exe and follow the instructions as presented.
3. For each remote installation of NSMSentinel, run
NSM2.0-ADSentinel-2.0.1.6.exe located in the /NSMSentinel directory
in the installation location of the NSM Engine. This executable will
stop the NSM Sentinel service if running, copy the new files, then restart
the NSM Sentinel service when complete.
This process should be carried out on each server running the NSM Sentinel
service.
To help with further Sentinel distribution, it is recommended that you copy the
installer .exe file to the NSM Engine's Sentinel distribution directory
typcially located at c:\Novell\Storage Manager\NSMEngine\NSMSentinel on the NSM
Engine server. A future version of the NSM Engine for Active Directory will
incorporate a more automated distribution similar to what is currently available
on the eDirectory platform edition.
